My doctor recently went from private practice to the Metro system. His old staff members were the most wonderful people I'd ever met, over a decade and I grew to know and care for them. During and after the transition Metro kept mixing up my insurance and basic information, okay it's chaotic, I can understand that. However, I needed medical documentation from my doctor and was informed by the staff member there it would be a 72 hour turn around time. I was fine with that. Sadly, I'd discovered that this was not the case and when I called to make sure it was ready, another staff member stated it'll really take 5-10 business days. No apologies for prior misinformation, and I needed that document for court and can only hope the judge will be understanding as this information was not asked for from me until, well, crunch time. Other complaint is when I'd gone in to their express care, had a concussion and over two weeks later still had headaches/blurred vision and giant lump on my head, the attending was rude and curt with me, and insinuated I was being a hypochondriac and to follow-up with a concussion specialist. She was, by far, the rudest doctor I've ever met. Never once smiled. I love my doctor, he's the kindest man, takes time to really get to know his patients, and really listens to them. Yet, I think I might have to seek another after over a decade, as I wholly disapprove of the organization he's involved in.
I don't feel comfortable inside this building. Its wide open , people at this desk are clueless. I rather visit a homeless shelter to get a check up then go back to this building again. The one in Parma , on Snow Rd ,has and is the friendly building of them all
The only reason why I come here is for Dr. Kitagawa - he is phenomenal! However, the other employees who work here need a 101 customer service class. Every time I’ve come here there is an issue with them. I have been coming here for years too. One time I came in for a usual appointment, there was some old lady in a red coat and name badge that just told me to “go sit over there, I’ll check you in”... okay then? Was I checked in? No! I ended up waiting almost 2 hours to later be told that’s what happened and “we don’t know why she would say that.” Teach your employees what not to do then! Another time I went to go get my birth control... there was an issue with that! I was even emailing the doctor as I was speaking to the ridiculous rude nurse about how I was here to pick up my birth control and they would just not help me... the doctor even said “I don’t know why they are making this such an issue”... me either! Lastly this time I called for a regular exam, and I had this southern woman schedule my appointment who was rude. Just overall rude. There was one nurse named Amber I believe who I talked to, she was pleasant and helped me with my issue. She was the only shining light! I understand that nurses work a lot and have crazy hours and I respect that... but to be rude and not care, sorry but there is no excuse for that.
My children are both 7-my son has been on antibiotics once, my daughter never-we do not go to the doctor every time they get a virus. That being said, I wasn’t positive antibiotics were needed, but thought it was a possibility, and I was concerned about my daughter’s lungs so all 3 of us went to get checked out at Express Care (NEVER AGAIN!!!). They tell me the bottom # of my blood pressure is 107! As they go to enter it in the system I suggest they redo it, manually...oh look at that, in the 80s! They tell me my daughter has a temp of 102.9! Naturally, I immediately reach over and start feeling her entire upper body and respond with, “No way, that it not possible.” Them, “Yeah, it’s 102.9...Me, “No, you’re wrong.” Get in to see the doc that brings up my daughter’s high temp..I tell her her it is definitely not correct (she feels warm, hasn’t had ibuprofen in a while, but definitely NOT 102.9) Doctor, “So, let me ask you, WHAT would make you believe that her temperature isn’t actually that high, just because YOU can’t feel it?” Me, “That’s exactly why!!!’ Finally get a temp retake from a different nurse (doc is out of the room)..100. Never heard another peep about it from the doc, not even confirmation-nothing. Doc determines lungs sound clear on everyone, daughter and myself get strep tests-she determines it's viral...then proceeds to prescribe OVER 5 different things, including 3 prescriptions for Zyrtec (WHY DO ALL 3 OF US (including 7 year olds) NEED TO BE PUT ON DAILY ALLERGY MEDICINE FOR A DAMN VIRUS?!?!!——THIS PLACE IS PATHETIC!)
Was in line for the express care at 8:10am today and there was a gentleman in front of me. The woman at the desk was checking someone in still when a woman and her daughter gets in line behind me. After the woman is done with the guy she was checking in, she completely skipped the gentleman in fron of me as well as skipped me, and told the woman behind me to go up. They obviously knew each other because they were talking for a few minutes before the woman even asked for a birthday to check them in. The staff is rude and doctors take forever so you'll be sitting in a room for about 45 minutes I don't recommend this place.
