Always great help when in need

Take them seriously, it could change your life. I guarantee it.

My kid loves their programs.

Dr. Joshua Zarowitz is a terrible psychiatrist. He has no compassion, is terribly self important, and takes great pleasure in threatening patients with "compulsory care" and mandatory hospitalization of up to 90 days. The out patient program is a joke unless sitting around hearing the counselors talk about their family life is somehow related to cognitive behavior therapy.

My mother has been in DR. ZAROWITZ care for THREE days now. Not once has he nor anyone contacted myself, my brother, my dad-her husband , NO ONE IN THE ENTIRE FAMILY to simply even ask us about her or her condition- NOTHING. They refuse to even tell us if she's progressing - sleeping okay - eating- and it is completely asinine. We have the right to know that, the basics, we have the right to inquire and the right to inform them about her and what's happened as well. Like what?! You don't want to ask the family- the people in her life every single day what may have caused this? What she had been doing the past few days?! Anything!? We understand HIPPA- we don't need her medical records and we don't want them until we gain legal guardianship over her when she isn't in her sane state of mind. Which she isn't. She's having an immense manic bipolar episode which is why she is in there ! She can't make any SANE OR RATIONAL DECISIONS for herself when she's mentally unstable. It's like asking a schizophrenic person who's in their second maybe harmful personality to take control of their life as if they can make the correct decisions, safe decisions. It's ridiculous. I don't recommend this facility and when her bipolar does act up again we will NOT be back. And by then we will have ALLL LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY AND GUARDIANSHIP over her - we will have full rights to know each and every single step they would take - nothing at all will be able to be kept from us. NOT EVEN A SIMPLE 'is she okay?' Yeah. That's something you CAN answer now and still choose not to. Until then we will suffer through this hell, being dragged around not knowing what is happening to our loved one since they refuse ALL AND ANY CONTACT TO ANY FAMILY MEMBER WHATSOEVER. NEVER AGAIN.
